The Government of Bahrain conferred an official recognition on Affno and placed on record the Kingdom's gratitude for Affno's contribution. The presentation was made at an official dinner organised by the eGovernment Authority on the 13th of January 2010 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Manama. The occasion was to celebrate Bahrain’s Ranking in the United Nations E-Government Development Index 2010. His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed Bin Ateyatallah Al Khalifa - Minister of Cabinet Affairs, presented the memento in the presence of Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, Chief Executive Officer of the eGovernment Authority. Kevin Kumarasinghe – Affno's Country Manager for Bahrain received the memento on Affno's behalf.

The official memento signed by His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed Bin Ateyatallah Al Khalifa - Minister of Cabinet Affairs, reads: “In recognition of your continuous efforts and active participation as strategic partners with the eGovernment Authority and dedication in helping the Kingdom of Bahrain achieving first place amongst the Middle East and Arab States, the third in Asia, and the thirteenth globally, in the United Nations eGovernment Index 2010. We are pleased to extend our sincere gratitude and deep appreciation, and wishing you further success in serving our Nation. ”

Affno is a leader in e-Government software with several high profile deployments in diverse regions. Affno is also one of the most awarded companies by the British Computer Society. Its products have won several prestigious awards for quality. Affno Mobile Portal Manager & Affno Mobile Messaging Manager products have been deployed at the eGovernment Authority in Bahrain for its national mobile portal. These products are being integrated with the requisite Government Ministries and other organisations to provide a host of e-Government Services to citizens via the mobile phone. 33 services were integrated by the end of December 2009 and they are becoming increasingly popular among citizens.
